Healthy relationships are foundational to the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. When couples and families experience distress, the impact often extends beyond their relationships, affecting emotional health, parenting, children, workplaces, and future generations.
At Ohio EFT, we are committed to advancing the practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach grounded in attachment science that helps individuals, couples, and families strengthen emotional bonds, navigate relational distress, and create more secure, responsive connections.
We believe that when therapists are equipped with effective, research-informed clinical skills, the benefits extend far beyond the therapy room.
Yet access to advanced clinical training is not equally available to all mental health professionals.
Many dedicated counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals face significant financial barriers to continuing their professional development. The costs of specialized training, travel, lodging, supervision, and time away from clinical practice can be especially challenging for early-career clinicians, graduate-level professionals, therapists working in community mental health, and those serving historically underserved or under-resourced populations.
For clinicians in private practice, attending multi-day training may also mean losing several days of income while continuing to cover business expenses. For others, employer-sponsored professional development funding may be limited or nonexistent.
These barriers can prevent passionate, skilled professionals from accessing the very training that could strengthen their effectiveness and expand the quality of care available within their communities.
Your Support Can Make a Difference
Ohio EFT invites individuals, businesses, foundations, and community organizations to partner with us in making advanced EFT training more accessible.
Through donations and sponsorships, you can help reduce the financial barriers that prevent deserving mental health professionals from participating in specialized training opportunities.
Your contribution can support full or partial training scholarships, helping clinicians develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to better serve individuals, couples, and families.
An investment in one therapist has the potential to touch hundreds of relationships throughout their career.
By supporting Ohio EFT training scholarships, you are investing not only in professional development but also in stronger families, healthier relationships, and more connected communities.
